As Christians, we are first and foremost rooted in Christ and His Church, but as Episcopalians, we are rooted in a rich historic tradition which balances Word, Sacrament, Spirit-empowered lives, and societal transformation. A rich liturgical worship experience with an emphasis on Scripture is a key component of our heritage. Shaped through Love

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Created through God’s love, we are redeemed and made new through Jesus the Christ. The Incarnation – God made man in Jesus – is love personified. Through His life, teaching, death, resurrection, and ascension He showed us what love looks like and provided a model for us. As we go into the world, we go with love to teach what He taught and to make disciples who make disciples as he did, to serve as he modeled in our parish and community. Love shapes our thinking, agendas, priorities, vision, and ministries. We are committed to providing a place for one to belong, even before one believes.

Captivated by Mission

“Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:18

When we come face to face with saving grace, we are compelled to respond….to act. Christ’s love inspires us to put his love into action: to be giving and forgiving, to be generous in every sense of that word, to proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ, and to respect the dignity of every human being. When Christ’s mission captivates us, we find we must reach out to care for the poor, sick, the hungry, the friendless, the sorrowful, and the needy, those suffering from any grief or trouble, those who are oppressed by injustice. Mission includes societal transformation – it’s part of making all things new.
