Godly Play Demonstration at St. David's by the Sea

St. David’s by the Sea in Cocoa Beach is preparing to launch a Godly Play Ministry. Last Sunday, December 5th, our own Heather Barlow went to St. David’s to give their congregation a demonstration of a Godly Play story so that each of them could experience the curriculum first-hand. Heather told the Godly Play story “Advent Two.”

Heather has been involved in Godly Play both as a teacher and a mother for over a decade and is an integral part of our ministry at CEC. Father Porter Taylor, Rector of St. David’s said, “Heather and the rest of the CEC Godly Play Ministry leaders have given invaluable advice and support as we have prepared to launch our own ministry at St. David’s. We are so grateful to Christ Church for being a Godly Play resource parish not only to St. David’s, but to our deanery and diocese.”

On Sunday Heather presented St. David’s with their own Advent Two story which she and her daughters made especially for them. “Each time we use it we will give thanks for Heather and for CEC,” Fr. Porter said.
