Youth Group Fundraiser: Advent Spaghetti & Music Event

Our Spaghetti Supper and Music Event with a Silent Auction was a resounding success! We had 62 in attendance including youth, enjoyed delicious food, and sang Christmas Carols. What a joy to be seated and served by our youth who did a flawless job and seemed to have fun too!

One of the highlights of the evening was our Silent Auction which raised some $1823. Along with special donations and ticket sales, we raised approximately $2700 (before expenses) to benefit the CEC Youth Group.

We are so very grateful to all of you who attended Wednesday’s event, to those who supported and cheered us on from a distance, and to those who donated the creative baskets as well as all the  other lovely items for auction. Kudos to Kathryn Caldwell for her vision, planning, and implementation, as well as the team who came alongside: Many thanks to La Nora Holcombe who managed the Silent Auction so beautifully; Betty Minton who designed our tablescapes: Jim Kiss who managed our technology for the evening; William Brust, who made our yummy  spaghetti sauce; Holly Killick who provided salad and garlic bread; and Kathryn and youth group members who provided the delicious pies. We are also grateful to Heather Barlow who managed our wine bar, as well as Robin and Deacon Mike Switzer who worked so hard on preparations and ran numerous errands. Barb and Norm Lefevbre and L.A. Lewis also jumped in to help with kitchen cleanup while many of you helped put the Parish Hall in order. The evening wouldn’t have been complete without the wonderful music  made possible by our talented musicians: Tamsey Audet and Jeff Caldwell on keyboards and our vocalists who led us in our Carol singalong: Jean Diaz, Chris Mondello, and Ken Lewis – you all rock!
